Modalities

Working along side modern veterinary medicine and your veterinarian to provide holistic care and options for your animal or pet.

I incorporate a variety of bodywork modalities and approaches in my work with animals. This allows me to work in ways that best suit the current situation with an animal, and based on the comfort and acceptance of the animal I’m working with. I am also able to customize and have many ways to work with an individual if one way isn’t working. Some of those modalities include:

Benefits of equine and small animal bodywork include:

  • Reduction of pain, swelling and inflammation
  • Increased performance
  • Increased circulation and improved range of motion
  • Increased lymphatic and immune system function
  • Quicker recovery from surgery and/or injury, and help with pain management
  • Relief of muscle stiffness and spasms; bodywork can release spasms and constrictions in the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems, this can then allow for structural changes in the body
  • Balancing the body’s energy to help the body’s natural ability to heal itself
  • Promotion of relaxation, calming and improved disposition
  • Arthritis and mobility issues with aging; improving quality of life
  • Help with depression, anxiety, trauma; assisting in the processing of traumatic events (physically, mentally and emotionally) and regaining trust in humans and an animal’s surroundings
  • Comfort near or at end of life; hospice comfort and care
